Qualifications Estate Agent, Qualified Property Valuer

Neville has had a long history in real estate being a qualified property valuer, a licensed estate agent for over 50 years, and is a specialist in owners corporation management. Neville served as President of both the Real Estate Institute of Victoria and the Real Estate Institute of Australia. After joining the Glengollan board in 1999, he guided the acquisition of additional land holdings to expand the number Independent Living Units and a new Aged Care Facility. Neville retired from the board from 2008, returning in 2011, and being appointed as President from 2014.

Qualifications Lawyer – Retired

Michael worked as an Australian Legal Practitioner for 46 years. He commenced working in the firm of Mackinnon Jacobs Lawyers in 1973 and was a Partner/Director of the firm from 1982 to 2016. After continuing to work as a consultant, he fully retired in December 2024 – a total time of 51 years. Whilst dealing with a broad range of legal areas his expertise became working in the area of Seniors Law with a concentration on Retirement Village Law and matters.

Michael has lived in the City of Knox since 1984 with his wife Julie and 3 children, Timothy Georgia & Ashlee.

Michael has been a member of the Rotary Club of Boronia since 1981 and has served twice as its President.

He has been a member of the Board of Glengollan since 2009.

With more than 15 years’ experience in aged care leadership and governance, Fiona brings both professional expertise and genuine compassion to her role on the Glengollan Village Board.

Her career spans aged care ownership, operations, accreditation, governance, higher education and hospitality, giving her a broad perspective and a practical understanding of what makes organisations thrive. As a former co-owner and Director of two Melbourne aged care homes, she led teams supporting more than 110 residents and successfully guided multiple accreditation cycles, always with a strong focus on dignity, quality and continuous improvement.

Fiona is passionate about building capable, confident teams and creating cultures where resident wellbeing sits at the centre of every decision. A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and member of the Governance Committee and the Risk and Audit Committee, she is committed to supporting Glengollan’s future growth while ensuring the Village remains a warm, respectful and vibrant community for residents and their families.

Ian is a locally based lawyer and advisor with more than 35 years’ experience across legal practice, workers compensation and organisational governance. A lifelong resident of the Ferntree Gully and Boronia area, Ian has been closely connected to the local community throughout his personal and professional life.

Admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1985, Ian has served as the Principal Solicitor of Parkers Legal since 1988, working with families and individuals in matters relating to estates, property and elders’ law. He is also the founder of Cooinda Consulting, established in 2020, through which he supports organisations nationally on workplace risk, self-insurance and regulatory matters.

Ian’s governance experience includes serving as a Director of the Personal Injury Education Foundation from 2018 to 2020. At Glengollan Village, he contributes as a Board Director and Chair of the Governance Committee, where he focuses on sound decision making, accountability and supporting a caring environment for residents and staff.

Dr Loredana Reid, GP, owner, and operator of Upper Ferntree Gully Medical Clinic and Glengollan Village Medical Centre.

Dr Lore Reid’s medical interests are wide and include paediatrics, women’s health, general medicine, and aged care. As part of her day-by-day medical practice Dr Lore Reid provides care for residents of aged care facilities in the local area since 2013.

Qualifications Bachelor of Architecture

Anandh is a qualified architect with over 27 years of experience managing major infrastructure portfolios and leading significant transformation projects across large organisations and public institutions. He is currently the Director of Property and Infrastructure at Federation University Australia and has previously held senior leadership roles at Bendigo Kangan Institute, La Trobe University and the Country Fire Authority. With deep expertise in strategic planning, asset management and complex capital delivery, Anandh is passionate about supporting organisations that make a meaningful difference to their communities. With this commitment to community impact, Anandh brings strong governance capability and a strategic approach to supporting GGV’s long-term vision and growth.

Mark Berezdecky is a senior policy advisor in the ageing and community services sector, known for his advocacy for change in the aged care, retirement living and seniors housing sector. With broad experience across ageing, community and social services, he works on policy, programs and partnerships that support older people to age well. Mark holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master of Public Health.

Qualifications Executive MBA, Doctor of Physiotherapy

A strategic leader with cross-sector experience in healthcare, government, and education, I joined the Glengollan Village Board to contribute my expertise in aged care governance and system reform. My career began in clinical practice before moving into strategy, with recent work spanning national aged care reform and the design of a new residential aged care facility. I am committed to advancing equitable, high-quality outcomes for older Australians, guided by a holistic view of health and its social determinants.

Sarah holds a Doctor of Physiotherapy (University of Melbourne) and an Executive MBA (Melbourne Business School).

Appointed to the Board in 2024, Stephen has over 20 years in corporate business as a CFO, specialising in growth, transformation, turnaround and Mergers and Acquisitions. Stephen also has strong expertise in AI, Cyber security and ESG. Stephen is also a Non-Executive Director at UFS Healthcare Limited. Stephen is currently the Chairman of Janus Advisory and Chair of Glengollan’s Audit & Risk Committee

Salvatore is an experienced executive and board director with more than 15 years leading technology, digital transformation, governance and operational improvement across healthcare, aged care, community services, and professional services. He specialises in aligning innovation and commercial discipline with quality-of-care outcomes. Salvatore has overseen large-scale technology, data and compliance programs, delivered growth through both organic expansion and acquisition, and led high-performing teams across multi-site organisations. He is committed to strong governance, risk management and sustainable service delivery in multiple sectors.

Margie is a seasoned executive in the aged care/retirement village sector and has been the CEO for over 9 years.

Having trained as a Registered Nurse, a Ba of Commerce and an MBA Margie is able to lead the organisation thru the delicate balance of resident care and well being along with the commercial acumen required.

Her philosophy’s is ‘there is no mission’ without money and there is no organisation without committed trained staff

Tracey is an accomplished finance professional with over 10 years’ experience in accounting and leadership roles across the aged care and disability services sectors. She is passionate about supporting the delivery of quality care through strong financial stewardship and collaborative leadership. Tracey combines her analytical expertise with a genuine commitment to people, driving improvements that enhance transparency, efficiency, and long-term sustainability across Glengollan Village.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the Retirement Village industry, Kym has supported countless residents and families through the journey of finding the right home. She has worked across many areas of the sector, from managing established communities to opening new villages, as well as in Serviced Apartments and Aged Care Homes.

Kym’s strength lies not only in her deep knowledge of the industry but also in her genuine care for people. She understands the challenges and emotions that can come with this stage of life and takes the time to guide families with compassion, clarity, and respect. Her goal is always to ensure residents feel supported, valued, and confident in the choices they make. Kym is also a Justice of the Peace.

Hima is an experienced Registered Nurse with over 16 years in the aged care sector, known for her clinical expertise, operational insight, and leadership in delivering high-quality resident care.

Throughout her career, Hima has progressed into senior clinical and operational leadership positions within aged care, gaining extensive experience in clinical governance, service delivery, and leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding resident outcomes. She has driven numerous initiatives, including implementing electronic care systems, establishing dementia-specific and culturally inclusive care environments, and guiding facilities to successful accreditation outcomes.

Known for her integrity, strong work ethic, and collaborative leadership style, Hima is passionate about driving quality improvement, mentoring healthcare teams, and creating environments where residents receive safe, respectful, and person-centred care. She brings a strategic mindset to aged care leadership, balancing clinical excellence with operational efficiency to deliver sustainable and compassionate care services.

Hui is a passionate and dedicated Chef Manager with over 15 years of culinary and hospitality experience, who brings both professional expertise and heartfelt care to the aged care community. Recognised with the Chef of the Year title by Federation Square Management, Hui combines excellence in cooking, kitchen management, and operations with genuine compassion — believing that every meal can bring comfort, dignity, and joy to residents.

Guided by his personal motto — “I cook to live, and live to cook” — Hui sees cooking not only as a profession, but as a way to share love, warmth, and connection. He works closely with dietitians and aligns his kitchen operations with the Aged Care Quality Standards, ensuring every meal meets nutritional, cultural, and individual needs.

Under Hui’s leadership, the kitchen consistently achieves high standards in Knox City Council, third-party audits and consistent positive feedback from residents, reflecting his strong commitment to food safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Known for his positive attitude and caring approach, Hui strives to make every dining experience a moment of happiness, shared with love and a smile.

With many years’ experience in Hospitality Management, most of them spent in the hotel industry as a Housekeeping Manager, she brings a wealth of knowledge in high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and service.

Passionate about creating spaces where residents feel cared for and at home, Liliana leads the Environmental Services team with professionalism and heart. She takes pride in ensuring that every area of the facility reflects the respect and dignity our residents deserve.
