Founded in 1956, Glengollan is a fully accredited, not for profit, aged care provider caring for up to 90 residents, including specialist care for 15 residents living with dementia. We are part of a continuing care community which includes 130 retirement living units which helps our residents maintain their social connections with community and friends.
Glengollan is nestled amongst the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. Spanning approximately 12 acres in leafy Ferntree Gully in Melbourne’s outer east, the facility is close to Ferntree Gully and Boronia Railway Stations and has bus stops directly outside the property. It is an approximate 30 minute drive into the CBD via Eastlink.

It’s all about having a purpose
Glengollan is at the forefront of best practice aged care through the integration of Montessori environments as the basis of our person centred approach. Creating Montessori environments is an innovative approach not only to dementia care, but to all aspects of aged care, that can be adopted for individuals, for groups, and as a philosophy of care. The focus is on ‘doing’.
As our resident’s program is created based on individual needs, strengths, interests and abilities, the activities are meaningful to the individual, affording them the opportunity to enjoy an enriched quality of life by remaining purposefully and meaningfully engaged in the roles, routines and activities of daily living.
